Healthy, Nutrient Rich Tacos

Healthy, Nutrient Rich Tacos

A GREAT WAY TO MAKE HEALTHY, NUTRIENT RICH TACOS FOR YOUR FAMILY

To make healthy, nutrient rich tacos I use:

Butter Leaf Lettuceas a replacement for corn/flour tortilla
Butter Leaf Lettuce is an excellent source of Vitamin A and Phosphorous (1).

For the Toppings I use:

Avocado
Avocados are very high in Potassium, which should support healthy blood pressure levels (2).
Avocados are a high fat food, majority being made up of oleic acid which has been linked to reduce inflammation and has been shown to have beneficial effects linked to cancer and diabetes (3, 4, 5, 6).
Avocados also contain large amounts of fiber which can contribute to weight loss, reduce blood sugar spikes and are strongly linked to a lower risk of many diseases (7, 8, 9).
Cilantro
Raw Grated Cheese
Salsa
Try it out and enjoy!
